A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Process and Accept the Price Quote from Motorola for the Purchase of Portable Radio Replacements

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, included in the approved 26-27 budget, is Project #26E3151FD, Purchase Replacement/Encryption of Portable Radios not to exceed $150,000.00;
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village) Fire Department is requesting the purchase of additional portable radios, not to exceed $150,000, to enhance firefighter safety by providing reliable secure communication, and to maintain interoperability with our public safety partners and support secure interagency communications.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville approves the Fire Department purchase of Portable Radio replacements/encryption from Motorola;
Section 2: That the quote hereto aforementioned submitted by Motorola in the amount of $146,619.90 be approved;
Section 3: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
