A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from CIT Trucks for the Purchase of a 2024 T480 Kenworth Single Axle Dump Truck Chassis

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village'') is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a 2024 T480 Kenworth single axle dump truck from CIT Trucks through the Sourcewell Contract #060920-KTC; and,
Whereas, The Village has $325,000 approved in the FY 23/24 budget for the purchase of a single axle dump truck. The purchase price for the 2024 Kenworth single axle dump truck chassis is $117,489.41 which is within our budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the pricing of a 2024 Kenworth single axle dump truck utilizing funds in the account 01.08.14.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793- 00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a 2024 Kenworth single axle dump truck in the amount of $117,489.41.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraph...
