A Resolution Approving a Task Order from Robinson Engineering, Ltd. to Provide Engineering Assistance to Staff Regarding Smoke Testing and Program Management

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Robinson Engineering will be providing engineering services related to the smoke testing; and,
Whereas, the total project cost not to exceed $95,850 Task Order 24-04; and,
Whereas, the scope of work will consist of sanitary sewer evaluation services including basin 6 and 13 smoke testing and program management and will be expensed in account number 60.08.24.409, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service task order from Robinson Engineering for the engineering assistance to staff regarding smoke testing. The overall goals of the project will be to identify and reduce infiltration and inflow and to restore structural integrity in the system. The smoke testing project does not include residential areas.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceab...
