Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

Whereas, The Village has approved funds in the FY 27 Budget for the purchase and four 2027 Ford interceptors; and,

Whereas, The Village Staff recommends accepting the proposal for the purchase of four 2027 Ford Interceptors utilizing Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative; and,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Reguirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793- 00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the four police interceptor's vehicles. The purchase price from Currie Motors for the four 2027 Ford police interceptors is utilizing the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative contract #204 for a price of $57,952.00 each, totaling $231,808.00.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words. phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
