A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Proposal from PT Ferro for the 2024 Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for the continuation of the 2023 Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project this fiscal year are allocated in the current Fiscal Year 2024/2025 Budget; and,

Whereas, P.T. Ferro Construction Company has agreed to hold their prices from the 2023 Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project and has provided a price of $50.00/foot for curb & gutter, which was not included in the 2023 project, and the work will be performed within the allocated amount of $73,807.58, well within the budgeted amount of $150,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the contract for the 2024 Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining wo...
