A Resolution Approving a Change Order with Martam Construction for Additional Non-Special Waste Disposal Cost

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and

 

 

Whereas, a change order to previously approved resolution 25-4056 and,

 

Whereas, Village staff worked with Martam Construction to agree on a per-ton disposal unit price of $29.71 and provides for the potential additional expenditures for services as authorized by the Village Manager and,

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Approval of Change Order to Martam: The Village of Romeoville hereby approves, provided, further, however, that notwithstanding the preceding clause, expenditures for additional no-special waste disposal costs but only upon the express approval by the Village Manager.

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
