A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from Chicago Parts and Sound, LLC for the Upfitting of Five Police Vehicles

                     Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village will purchase upfitting five police vehicles from Chicago Parts and Sound LLC,

 

Whereas, the cost of upfitting five police vehicles is $58,981.00; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of upfitting five police vehicles utilizing funds in the account 05.11.02.410; and,

 

                     NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

                     

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Waiver of Public Bid RequirementsPursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of upfitting five police vehicles in the amount of $58,981.00.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage,        approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
