A Resolution Approving Professional Engineering Services from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for Village of Romeoville Parallel Projects with the Grand Prairie Water Commission

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. will be providing engineering services for the parallel projects with the Grand Prairie Water Commission; and,
Whereas, the engineering services will be a total time and material not-to-exceed fee in the amount of $236,900, expensed in account number 64.08.22.409, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional engineering services from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for the engineering services related to the Alternative Water Source Program (AWSP) with the Grand Prairie Water Commission. Services will include professional engineering to design water mains that run parallel to the GPWC water mains through Romeoville. The scope of work includes design engineering services for three water main corridors that will be incorporated into one of the existing GPWC work packages for bidding as a single contract and will use GPWC standards modified to meet the Village's requirements. project.
