A Resolution Declaring Surplus Property and Authorizing the Disposition of Surplus Property

Whereas, the equipment owned by the Village of Romeoville listed below is no longer necessary or useful for the operation of the Village; and,
Whereas, it is the opinion of the corporate authorities of the Village that the disposal of said equipment is in the best interest of the Village of Romeoville; and,
Whereas, the corporate authorities of the Village authorize and direct the disposition said surplus property in any manner deemed sufficient.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The following listed items shall be declared surplus property and shall be disposed of the listed equipment by way of auction and or recycle:
The NAPA 80 Gallon Air Compressor (Exhibit A), is hereby declared to be surplus, and the continued ownership thereof is determined to no longer be necessary or useful to or otherwise in the best interests of the Village, and the Parks and Recreation, Fire, and Public Works Department is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of such property in any manner in which it deems appropriate, including but not limited to the disposal of the same as refuse.
