An Ordinance Granting a Variance from Chapter 91.47(F) and the International Fire Code (2015) Section 1017.2.2-Maximum Travel Access Distance for 501 W. Taylor Road, Romeoville, Illinois)

WHEREAS, World Source Integration, Inc., as contractor, has applied on behalf of the owner or occupant of 501 W. Taylor Road, Romeoville, Illinois 60446 for variances from the provisions of Chapter 91.47(F) and the International Fire Code (2015) Section 1017.2.2, as amended within the Village of Romeoville, to permit the extension of the maximum travel access distance within the building, consistent with the fire modeling analysis and report submitted in support of the variance application, as filed with the Fire Prevention Bureau; and

WHEREAS, the travel access routes that are the subject of the proposed variance are located within areas of the building that are typically unstaffed other than for maintenance purposes, and in areas served by supplemental fire sprinklers; and

WHEREAS, Village staff has reviewed the application for variance submitted by the contractor, and has determined that the application meets the requirements of Chapter 91 pertaining to the grant thereof.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS; THAT:

SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: VARIANCE. The provisions of Chapter 91.47(F) and the International Fire Code (2015) Section 1017.2.2, as amended within the Village of Romeoville are hereby varied to permit a maximum travel access distance in excess of 400 feet, and specifically to allow Route 2 to have a maximum travel access distance of 462 feet, to allow Route 3 to have a maximum travel access distance of 419 feet, and to allow Route 5 to have a maximum travel access distance of 426 feet.
