A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Requirements for the Purchase of a 2017 Ford F550 One Ton Dump Truck

WHEREAS, The Village of Romeoville (“Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1070; and
WHEREAS, The Village will utilize the Illinois government price for the purchase of 2017 Ford F550 One-Ton Truck from Morrow Brothers Ford, and the purchase of an upgraded dump body for the F550 truck from Monroe Truck Equipment; and
WHEREAS, The Village has $65,000 approved for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 budget for the purchase of a one-ton dump truck and dump body. The purchase price of the vehicle is $36,821.00 plus $26,166.00 for the upgraded dump body for the 2017 F550 truck, for a total of $62,987; and
WHEREAS, The Village staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilizing the Illinois government pricing for the purchase of the 2017 Ford F550 one-ton dump truck; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: The village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the Illinois government price for the purchase of a 2017 Ford F550 one-ton dump truck for a total amount of $62,987.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
