RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of a Ford F550 Pickup Truck with Snow Equipment

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a Ford F550 chassis from Sutton Ford through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative, and outfit the truck with dump body and snow equipment from Monroe Truck Equipment through the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative; and,
Whereas, The Village has $90,000 approved in the FY 19/20 Budget for the purchase of the one-ton pickup truck. The purchase price of the vehicle is $98,142.00, and the $8,142.00 over the originally budgeted amount is available in the budget via cost savings from previous vehicle purchases during the current fiscal year; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of a one-ton pickup truck with snow equipment; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements for the purchase of a one-ton pickup truck with snow equipment in the amount of $98,142.00.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
