A Resolution Approving an Agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation for the use of MFT Funds for the 135th Street Resurfacing Project

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville previously approved resolution 23-3646 for the resurfacing of 135th Street from 600' east of Weber Road to IL Rte 53.
WHEREAS, the above stated improvement will necessitate the use of funding provided through the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT); and signee
WHEREAS, the use of these funds requires a joint funding agreement (AGREEMENT) with IDOT; and
WHEREAS, the improvement requires matching funds; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the President & Board of Trustees
Section 1: The President & Board of Trustees hereby appropriates $600,000 or as much as may be needed to match the required funding to complete the proposed improvement from MFT funds and furthermore agree to pass a supplemental resolution if necessary to appropriate additional funds for completion of the project.
Section 2: The President is hereby authorized to execute an AGREEMENT with IDOT
for the above-mentioned project.
Section 3: This resolution will become Attachment 3 of the AGREEMENT.
Section 4: The Village Clerk of Romeoville is directed to transmit 3 (three) copies of the
AGREEMENT and Resolution to IDOT District 1 Bureau of Local Roads and Streets.
