title A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS AND ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FROM SOUTHWEST TOWN / PREMISTAR SOUTH UTILIZING THE NCPA/OMNIA PURCHASING CONTRACT.
body WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, The Village of Romeoville ("Village") has heretofore reviewed a proposal submitted by Southwest Town / Premistar South, utilizing the NCPA/OMNIA Purchasing Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to accept the proposal from Southwest Town / Premistar South in the amount of $41,780.00 for the purchase and installation of three (3) hot water Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes and BACnet controllers at the Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville is an Illinois home rule municipal corporation under the 1970 Illinois Constitution; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: That pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville, by a two-thirds vote of its Corporate Authorities, hereby waives the otherwise applicable public bidding requirements for the procurement described herein.
