A Resolution Approving an Agreement with the State of Illinois and the Village of Romeoville Appropriating Funds for the Budler Road Resurfacing - Taylor Road to Airport Road - Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville has determined that there is a need to rehabilitate Budler Road from Taylor Road to Airport Road; and
Whereas, Design Approval for the project was obtained from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) on December 17, 2021, and
Whereas, the project has been approved by the Will County Governmental League (WCGL) to receive Federal Surface Transportation Program (STU) funds for eighty percent (80%) of the Construction plus Construction Engineering costs (Federal share of $560,440.00 and Local Match of $140,110.00; total project of $700,550.00); and
Whereas, in order to obligate Federal funding of local highway improvements, the Village of Romeoville is required, under IDOT policies, to enter into a Local Agency Agreement for Federal Participation for the funding of said local improvements, and
Whereas, the attached Local Agency Agreement for Federal Participation between the State of Illinois and the Village of Romeoville defines the Local Agency participation in the improvement and the estimated local share of the cost of the improvements; said agreement attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The attached Local Agency Agreement for Federal Participation is hereby approved and that there is hereby appropriated the sum of one hundred ninety-five thousand three hundred ten dollars ($195,310.00) in General Funds, of which fifty-five thousand two hundred dollars ($55,200.00) will be reimburse...
