A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Lowest Proposal and Enter into a Contract for the 2025 Concrete Repair Program

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for various street rehabilitation projects, including for hot-mix asphalt delivery, concrete repair, and subdivision street resurfacing, are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget; and,

Whereas, the lowest proposal for the 2025 Concrete Repair Program was submitted by Builders Concrete Services, LLC in the amount of $819,810.00. The ultimate contract value will reflect the actual quantities of work performed in the field, up to the proposal amount plus 9% contingency rounded, equal to $893,600, and the contract includes a provision that by mutual agreement the contract can be extended for one year with an increase to the unit prices of 3%; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for the Sidewalk Repair for ADA Compliance Program and for the Fire Station 3 Driveway Widening and ADA Improvements Project are also allocated in the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget and will be performed under the same terms and unit prices of this Concrete Repair Program contract.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
