A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Requirement and Purchase 5 APXN70 Portable Radios

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the requirements for public bidding on Village Police Department equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department requests the approval to waive the bids and purchase 5 APXN70 Portable Radios; and
WHEREAS, included in the 26-27 budget are funds for the purchase of 5 radios to ensure all personnel are equipped with reliable communication tools; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS that:
Section 1: The Village waives the bidding requirement for the purchase of 5 APXN70 Portable Radios
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
