A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from Chicago Parts and Sound LLC and CDW-G for the Purchase and Installation of Equipment to Upfit Five New Police Interceptors

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village have the equipment purchased and installed by Chicago Parts and Sound LLC as detailed in the proposal, Exhibit A; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase the computer related equipment and mounts from CDW-G utilizing the Sourcewell Contract Pricing as detailed in the proposal, Exhibit B; and,
Whereas, The Village has $83,249.85 available of the approved $375,000 in the FY 24/25 Budget for the purchase and installation of the proposed equipment. The purchase price of the equipment and installation is $83,503.95; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase and installation of the equipment to upfit the five police interceptors utilizing funds in the account 05.11.02.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Reguirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793- 00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase and installation of the equipment to upfit the five police interceptors in the amount of $83,503.95.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words. phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
