A Resolution to Accept a Quote from the Park Catalog for the Purchase of 2 Bleachers Sets for Romeo Crossing Community Park

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville requests to purchase two ADA bleacher sets for the recently constructed adaptive sports field at Romeo Crossing Community Park; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville requested quotes from three (3) vendors and received three (3) quotes: and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville (“Village”) has heretofore received the three quotes for the purchase of two ADA bleacher sets from The Park Catalog for $24,225.00 (Exhibit A), Valley Athletics for $30,255.00 (Exhibit B), and Belson Outdoors for $32,790.24 (Exhibit C);
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has reviewed the quotes and would like to accept the lowest quote from The Park Catalog, who is able to supply the ADA equipment to our standard needs; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Illinois Municipal Code and the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities, by a two-thirds vote, may, at their discretion, waive the otherwise applicable public bidding procedures applicable to the procurement of goods and services by the Village.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of the purchase of two ADA Bleacher sets, and authorize the Village of Romeoville to accept the quote from The Park Catalog, for the purchase of two ADA Bleacher sets for the recently constructed adaptive sports field at Romeo Crossing Community Park in the amount of $24,225.00.
Section 2: This Resolution is approved and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute any necessary documents in connection therewith.
