A Resolution Accepting the Proposal for the Drainage Improvements at Fire Station 3

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, three proposals were received the lowest proposal was received from J. Hassert Landscaping Inc. in the amount of $32,930.00,

 

Whereas, the funds for the project are budgeted in account number 01.08.15.409; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable for the Fire Station 3 Drainage Improvements project. We received three proposals and the lowest proposal was received from J Hassert Landscaping Inc. in the amount of $32,930.00. The other proposals received were from Allied Water Services with a bid of $64,033.68 and V3 Construction in the amount of $60,300.00. The Village has budgeted $30,000 for this project in the current fiscal year. The project is over the budgeted amount by $2930.00, but we plan to utilize funds from cost saving projects that were completed under budget.

 

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
