A Resolution to Accept a Proposal from Olathe Ford Sales Inc for a 2027 F-750 Chassis with Stellar 12630 Crane and Body Utilizing the Sourcewell Pricing Contract

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the Village has approved funds in the FY27 Budget for the purchase of a replacement crane truck from account 60.08.22.410; and,
Whereas, Village staff recommends accepting the proposal for the purchase of a 2027 Ford F-750 Chassis with Stellar from Olathe Ford utilizing the Sourcewell Pricing Contract #032824; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to purchase a 2027 F-750 chassis with stellar 12630 crane and body from Olathe Ford utilizing the Sourcewell Contract #032824 in the amount of $225,275.00. The new truck will replace two existing crane trucks currently in our fleet #1055 (2007) and #1050 (2012).
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
