A Resolution to Accept a Quote from Monroe Truck Equipment for the Upfitting of a 2027 Kenworth T480 Tandem Axle Dump Chassis Using the Sourcewell Pricing Contract

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the cost of a full replacement of a 2012 International tandem axle truck is divided between fiscal year 2027 and 2028 due to production lead times, delivery and to secure current pricing; and,
Whereas, a quote was obtained to upfit a 2027 Kenworth T480 Tandem Axle Dump Chassis with a dump body, hydraulics and lighting from Monroe Truck Equipment using the Sourcewell Pricing Contract #062222-AEB-1 in the amount of $77,213.00; and,
Whereas, staff is requesting approval to accept the quote and the funds to be expensed in FY28 from account 05.08.14.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to upfit a 2027 Kenworth T480 Tandem Axle Dump Chassis with a dump body, hydraulics and lighting from Monroe Truck Equipment using the Sourcewell Pricing Contract #062222-AEB-1 in the amount of $77,213.00 in the FY28 budget.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
