A Resolution Approving a Task Order from Robinson Engineering to Provide Construction Engineering for Village Hall Lot Expansion Project

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Robinson Engineering will be providing construction engineering services related to the Village Hall parking lot expansion project; and,
Whereas, Robinson Engineering will be providing construction engineering services for the Village Hall parking lot expansion project that includes construction of new hot-mix asphalt parking lot areas and multi-use path connections at the Village Hall and will be expensed in account number 01.08.15.409, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service task order from Robinson Engineering for the construction engineering services related to the Village Hall parking lot expansion project. The scope of services includes a pre-construction meeting, part-time resident engineer construction observation, coordination with Geocon Professional Services for subgrade inspection and testing, construction layout and staking, preparation and review of change orders as necessary, review of contractor payment applications and preparation of payment recommendations. Services are provided under Robinson task order 24-12 would be billed on an hourly basis with expenses not to exceed $90,900.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
