A Resolution Approving a Plat of Dedication

WHEREAS, QuikTrip Corporation is requesting approval of a Final Plat of Dedication that dedicates a portion of Normantown Road right-of way as shown on the plat attached as Exhibit A and drawn by the Farnsworth Group; and,

 

WHEREAS, this dedication is for an off-site area not covered by the Final Plat of Subdivision of QT 7196 Addition adopted as RES 24-3791; and,

 

WHEREAS, said request for a Final Plat of Dedication has met all of the procedural requirements of the Village of Romeoville, Village Board of Trustees, Planning & Zoning Commission, Development Review Committee, and the Code of Ordinances, as amended; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public meeting on September 23, 2025, and recommended approval of said Plat; and,

 

WHEREAS, said request for Final Plat of Dedication meets with the approval of the Village of Romeoville and hereby authorizes Developer to proceed according to the Development Regulations, Zoning Code and various requests made by the Development Review Committee, Planning & Zoning Commission, and Village Board of Trustees.

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

 

 

Section 1:                     That the above recitals and referenced reports are hereby incorporated and made a part of this resolution.

 

Section 2:                     That approval of the Final Plat of Dedication (attached as Exhibit A) is hereby granted by the Village, in which the Village President is hereby authorized to sign, and the Village Clerk attest thereto, that the said Final Plat of Dedication has met all of the requirements as herewith attached and is authorized to proceed at the site legally described as follows:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF DEDICATION

 

A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN LOT 1 IN THE FINAL PLAT OF SUBDIVISION OF WINDHAM LAKES SOUTHWEST, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST AND PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL

MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JULY 6, 2006 AS DOCUMENT NUMBER R2006-109671, IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

 

COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 1; THENCE NORTH 84 DEGREES 10 MINUTES 45 SECONDS WEST, 19.93 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID LOT 1, SAID NORTH LINE ALSO BEING THE SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF WEST NORMANTOWN ROAD TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. FROM SAID

POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE NORTH 89 DEGREES 19 MINUTES 52 SECONDS WEST, 345.63 FEET TO A POINT ON SAID NORTH LINE OF LOT 1, ALSO BEING SAID SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE; THENCE NORTH 88DEGREES 41 MINUTES 40  SECONDS EAST, 250.18 FEET ALONG SAID NORTH LINE OF LOT 1, ALSO BEING SAID SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE; THENCE SOUTH 84 DEGREES 10 MINUTES 45 SECONDS EAST, 95.98 FEET ALONG SAID NORTH LINE OF LOT 1, ALSO BEING SAID SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

 

 

Section 3:                     That this Resolution shall become effective upon its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law
