NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2:                     Adjustment of Contract:The Village of Romeoville approves an increase in the amount of $112,600.00 for the contract with Abbey Construction to cover the costs of the stabilization options for the North and South lots at Romeoville Village Hall in account number 01.08.15.409. Upon the installation of the binder course in the parking lot, the material was not testing to the appropriate density required. The contractor removed the material and upon extensive further investigation and testing from Geocon it was found there is excessive moisture in the aggregate stone subbase. The recommended remedy to achieve a suitable subbase is to perform cement stabilization to the area. This stabilization process is a long term physical and chemical alteration to the base to enhance the physical and engineering properties of the subbase. This change order consists of stabilization options for the North and South lots at Romeoville Village Hall. The total change order amount is $112,600.
