Approving a Task Order from Robinson Engineering for Construction Engineering for the 5-year Water Main Replacement Program - Year 2
body Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Robinson Engineering will be providing construction engineering services related to the 5-year Water Main Replacement - Year 2 Program; and,
Whereas, the total construction engineering cost is not to exceed $362,905.00 Task Order 25-07; and,
Whereas, the construction engineering cost will be expensed in account number 60.08.22.409, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service task order from Robinson Engineering for the construction engineering services related to the 5-year Water Main Replacement Program - Year 1. The scope of services includes a pre-construction meeting, part-time resident engineer construction observation, coordination with Village staff who will be providing supplemental part-time construction observation, construction layout and staking, coordination of the Village’s geotechnical consultant for material testing, review of contractor payment applications and preparation of payment recommendations.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
