A Resolution Approving the Price Increase from USSI Rentals for the Service Body Final Build of the Mechanics Service Body on the Previously Ordered 2023 F550 Chassis

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on the equipment purchase; and
Whereas, previously approved Resolution 23-3516 authorized accepting the proposal from Power Equipment, now USSI Rentals, for the purchase of the mechanics steel service body for the 2023 F550 Chassis; and
Whereas, there is now a price increase of $4297.60, increasing the total purchase of the service body to now $57,122.60.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the price increase of $4297.60, increasing the overall purchase price for the service body for the mechanic’s vehicle to 57,122.60 instead of the previously approved amount of $52,825.00 to USSI Rentals, formerly Power Equipment.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
