A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from Monroe Truck Equipment Utilizing the Sourcewell Contract for the Purchase of a Dump Body and Snow and Ice Control Equipment to be Installed on a 2024 Ford F550 Chassis

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase the dump body and snow and ice equipment from Monroe Truck Equipment through the Sourcewell Contract #062222-AEB; and,
Whereas, The Village has $135,000 approved in the FY 24/25 Budget for the purchase of a one ton dump truck and equipment. The purchase price for the snow and ice equipment is $87,850.00; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of the dump body and snow and ice equipment utilizing funds in the account 05.08.14.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Reguirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793- 00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of the dump body and snow and ice equipment in the amount of $87,850.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words. phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
