A Resolution Awarding the Contract for 2024 Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the 2024 Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation project was held on September 26, 2024 and bids were received from four prequalified bidders; and,
Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as Kim Constrution with a base bid of $248,425.00, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate. The budgeted amount for this work is $500,000.00, which is within the constraints of the budget; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the 2024 Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation project to Kim Construction in the amount of $248,425.00. Kim Construction is awarded the bid for the work in the not to exceed $248,425.00, conditioned upon its execution of the Village’s customary form of contract for the work.
Section 2A: Authorization of Letter Agreement with Illinois American Water. The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to execute the letter agreement with Illinois American Water attached as Exhibit A to provide for the reimbursement to the Village by IAW of a portion of the cost of the work covered by the contract award contemplated herein.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
