An Ordinance Amending Chapter 40 of the Village Code of Ordinances (Administrative Warning Tickets)

                     WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore adopted certain ordinances now codified as and for Chapter 40 of the Village Code of Ordinances and as other provisions of the Village Code of Ordinances setting forth and establishing a system of issuing administrative warning tickets for specified violations of the Village Code of Ordinances; and

 

                     WHEREAS, after Village staff review, it has been determined that certain of the provisions set forth therein are in need of revision, and specifically that the provisions of the Appendix A to Chapter 40 shall be amended by the addition of a reference to those certain ordinance violations set forth below, so as to permit the issuance of administrative warning tickets to persons violating the ordinance provisions hereinafter set forth.

 

                     NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT:

 

 

                     SECTION 1:  RECITALS.  The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.

 

SECTION 2:  AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 40-APPENDIX A OF VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES.  Chapter 40-Appendix A of the Village Code of Ordinances shall hereby be amended to add the following violations of the Village Code of Ordinances as violations for which administrative warning tickets may be issued

 

Chapter 50-Section 50.066-Limitations on use of sprinkling devices

 

Chapter 74-Section 74.087-Seat safety belts

 

Chapter 74-Section 74.0905-Electronic Communication Devices

 

Chapter 90-Section 90.021-Rabies vaccination; proof of same

 

Chapter 90-Section 90-046-Animal excrement

 

Chapter 90-Section 90.055-Nuisance animal requirements

 

Chapter 112-Section 112.027-Purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquors

 

Chapter 112-Section 112.029-Misrepresentation of age

 

Chapter 112-Section 112.030-Purchase or acceptance of gift, consumption prohibited

 

Chapter 133-Section 133.02-Public urination or defecation

 

SECTION 3:                     SEVERABILITY.  That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.

 

                     SECTION 4:  CONFLICTS.  All prior Ordinances and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency, and upon such repeal the relevant substantive provisions thereof shall be deemed to be replaced with the relevant substantive provisions hereof.

 

                     SECTION 5: EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
