A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WAIVING OF BIDS FOR ONE 2022 F-250 4X4 TRUCK FOR THE VILLAGE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION WITH FORD CURRIE COMMERCIAL CENTER AND ADDITIONAL TRUCK PARTS TO BE PURCHASED FROM MONROE TRUCK EQUIPMENT PER ILLINOIS STATE CONTRACT #178.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of tis Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined to accept a quote from Ford Currie Commercial Center, in Frankfort, Illinois for one 2022 F-250 4x4 Truck for the Village Parks and Recreation Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has purchased vehicles from Ford Currie Commercial Center and Monroe Truck Equipment, in the past and have been pleased with their service and quality; and

 

WHEREAS, The Village would like to purchase one 2022 F-250 4x4 Truck and utilize the State of Illinois Contract #178 Ford Currie Commercial Center, for a total truck cost of $37,905.00 per the terms and conditions set forth in the attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.

 

WHEREAS, The Village would also like to purchase a liftgate, two toolboxes, safety rack, and lights from Monroe Truck Equipment for a total cost of $8,903.00 per the terms and conditions set forth in the attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit B.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals:  The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Waiver of Public Bid Requirement: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of one 2022 F-250 4x4 Truck for the Village Parks and Recreation Department and authorize the purchase of this truck based upon the terms and conditions set forth in the attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A and additional items herein as Exhibit B.

 

Section 3:                     That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.

 

Section 4:                     Repealer:  All other Resolutions or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.

 

 

Section 5:                     Severability:  In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, or void, the same shall not affect the validity of enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, provisions or sections thereof.

 

Section 6:                     Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
