Whereas, the expenditures for the repairs of pump #2 at the Woods Lift Station will be expensed in account number 60.08.23.266; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable for the proposal from Metropolitan Industries in the amount of $23,963.00 for the repairs to pump #2 at the Woods Lift Station. The Village’s Wood’s Lift Station currently has three 125 horsepower raw sewage pumps that were installed in 2011. On February 7th, we received SCADA alarms showing that pump # 2 had failed and would no longer restart. Upon evaluation by staff and Metropolitan Industries, it was determined that the failed pump needs new bearings, impeller, seals and a motor stator rewind.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
