A Resolution Awarding the Contract for the 2025 Roadway Crack Sealing Program

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the Roadway Crack Sealing 2025 project was held on July 29, 2025, and bids were received from two prequalified bidders; and,
Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as Denler, Inc. with a bid of $138,240.00, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate. A provision in the contract documents allows for the adjustment of the contract bid quantities up or down so that the total contract value equals the budgeted amount at the bid contract unit prices. The budgeted amount for this work is $200,000.00; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Roadway Crack Sealing 2025 project to Denler, Inc. in the amount of $138,240.00, and the ultimate contract value will be determined by the quantities of work actually performed in the field, up to the budgeted amount of $200,000.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
