A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from Sutton Ford for the Purchase of 2025 Ford F350 Pickup

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures to purchase a 2025 Ford F350 Pickup are funded in Fiscal Year 25-26, account number 05.08.14.410; and,
Whereas, the purchase price of the vehicle is $51,310.00 from Sutton Ford utilizing the Suburban Purchasing Program pricing contract #225; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a 2025 Ford F350 Pickup. Funds are allocated in FY 2025/2026 budget for the purchase of a pickup for the Grounds Division which will be replacing a 2014 Ford pickup. The total amount is within the constraints of the budgeted amount of $70,000.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
