A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal Utilizing the Sourcewell Contract from Shorewood Home and Auto for the Purchase of a 2024 John Deere TE Electric Utility Vehicle

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a 2024 John Deere TE Electric Utility Vehicle from Shorewood Home and Auto through the Sourcewell Contract #031121-DAC; and,
Whereas, The Village has $35,000 approved in the FY 24/25 budget for the purchase of this piece of equipment. The purchase price for the 2024 John Deere TE Electric Utility Vehicle is $21,249.85, which is within our budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilize the sourcewell contract for the purchase of a 2024 John Deere TW Electric Utility Vehicle utilizing funds in the account 60.08.22.408, project number 24E3059PW; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a 2024 John Deere TE Electric Utility Vehicle in the amount of $21,249.85 from Shorewood Home & Auto utilizing the Sourcewell contract.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
