A Resolution to Approve the Professional Service from Geocon Professional Services for the Lukancic Receiving and Pumping Station Project

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Geocon Professional Services will be providing engineering services related to the Lukancic receiving and pumping station project; and,
Whereas, the Lukancic receiving and pumping station project will be expensed in account number 64.08.22.409, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service from Geocon Professional Services for the Lukancic receiving and pumping station project.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed. The scope of services consists of constructing a new 3,300 SF receiving and pumping station, 2 above grade 1.5 MG water storage tanks with 105-ft diameters, a Grand Prairie Water Commission (GPWC) delivery structure approximately 27 feet by 21 feet and 15 feet below grade, and the associated transmission mains with these facilities. Site work will include a 15-foot-wide access road, a 10-foot-wide bike path, and a detention pond. Services are provided under Geocon proposal number 25-P425 expenses not to exceed $39,455.00.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
