A Resolution Awarding the Contract for the Honeytree Subdivision Drainage Improvements Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the Honeytree Drainage Improvements Project was held on June 10, 2025, and bids were received from three bidders; and,
Whereas, the low bidder was identified as Allied Water Services with a bid of $63,565.32, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate. A provision in the contract documents allows for the addition of two predetermined locations at the contract unit prices, for a total contract amount of $101,142.54; and,
Whereas, the funds for the village’s portion of the project in the amount of $30,000 is available in the FY2026 budget; and,
Whereas, grant funding from the Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program administered through Will County in the amount of $71,142.54 is being provided to fund the balance of the contract amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Honeytree Drainage Improvements Project in the amount of $101,142.54 to Allied Water Services.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
