An Ordinance Amending Chapter 74 of the Village Code of Ordinances-Parking and Amending Chapter 80 (Traffic Schedules) Schedule I(A-1)

WHEREAS, the Village has adopted certain ordinances now codified as and for Chapter 74of the Village Code of Ordinances, pertaining to parking regulation; and
WHEREAS, after Village staff review, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the Village to amend said Chapter 74 of the Village Code of Ordinances as hereinafter set forth.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS; THAT:
SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 74 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES. That all those heretofore adopted ordinances of the Village codified as and for Chapter 74 of the Village Code of Ordinances shall hereby be amended to add a new Section 74.02(A)(1)(m), to read as hereinafter set forth:
(m) Within any portion of a public street striped to provide an access area for persons to access and utilize a ramp connecting a sidewalk and a street.
SECTION 2A: AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 80 SCHEDULE I(A). That all those heretofore adopted ordinances of the Village codified as and for Chapter 80 Schedule I(A) shall hereby be amended by the deletion of the following identified text therefrom:
Cedar Court, adjacent to the front yard frontages of 614 Cedar Court and the side yard frontage of 612 Cedar Court
Willow Court, adjacent to the side yard frontage of 501 Willow Court, and the front yard frontage of 502 Cedar Court
SECTION 2B: AUTHORIZATION FOR STRIPING AND SIGNAGE PURSUANT TO SECTION 74.02(A)1)(m). That the Department of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to cause the striping of the pavement areas within Cedar Court and Willow Court depicted in Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and to place appropriate signage of the same, all pursuant to and in furtherance of the provisions of Section 74.02(A)(1)(m).
SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY. That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: CONFLICTS. All prior Ordinances and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
SECTION 5: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
