An Ordinance Adopting Amendments to Chapter 43 (Fee Schedule) of the Village Code of Ordinances

WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Corporate Authorities to periodically review and assess the fees and charges associated with the provision of Village services by the various departments of the Village; and
WHEREAS, as a result of such periodic review and analysis, the Village has determined that certain of the fees for services rendered by the Village are in need of revision to better reflect and recover the costs associated with the provision thereof, or are in need to reflect the periodic revisions made to the underlying provisions of the Village Code of Ordinances to which the same pertain.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS; THAT:
SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: Amendment to Section 43.02(G). All those heretofore adopted Village Ordinances codified as and for Section 43.02(G) shall hereby be amended to read as follows:
43.02(G) Special Water Use Permit and Deposit. Pursuant to Section 50.28. the water usage fee for a special water use permit shall be $100.00, with a fee of $50.00 for each 30 day extension thereof approved by the Village. The deposit for the hydrant meter required under a special water use permit shall be $500.00.
SECTION 3: Amendment to Section 43.01. All those heretofore adopted Village Ordinances codified as and for Section 43.01 shall hereby be amended by the addition of the following text, to be codified as and for a new Section 43.01(X):
43.01(X) Chapter 130 Tobacco Licensing Fees.
(1) Application fee for Chapter 130 license applications--$250.00
(2) License fee for retail tobacco store or retail alternative/electronic store license--$650.00
(3) License fee for multi products retailer license--$1,000.00
(4) Payment of any license fee pursuant to Section 43.01(X)(2) or 43.01(X)(3) shall exempt the licensee from payment of the fee imposed by Section 43.01(C)(8).
SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY. That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: CONFLICTS. All prior Ordinances and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
SECTION 6: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
