A Resolution Approving Professional Engineering Services from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for Village of Romeoville Parallel Projects with the Grand Prairie Water Commission

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. will be providing engineering services for the parallel projects with the Grand Prairie Water Commission; and,
Whereas, the engineering services will be a total time and material not-to-exceed fee in the amount of $236,900, expensed in account number 64.08.22.409, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional engineering services from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for the engineering services related to the Alternative Water Source Program (AWSP) with the Grand Prairie Water Commission. Services will include professional engineering to design water mains that run parallel to the GPWC water mains through Romeoville. The scope of work includes design engineering services for three water main corridors that will be incorporated into one of the existing GPWC work packages for bidding as a single contract and will use GPWC standards modified to meet the Village’s requirements. project. If Supplemental Fee for Subsurface Utility Engineering investigations described as optional scope under Task 2.2 are authorized by the Village, the total fee presented above will be increased by $15,000 to cover the cost of the proposed pothole and sonde locating services.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
