A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Requirements and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of a 2022 Ford F550 Chassis with Snow and Ice Equipment, from Ford and Monroe Truck Equipment

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a 2022 Ford F-550 Chasis equipment from Sutton Ford through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative, and snow and ice equipment from Monroe Truck Equipment through the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative; and,
Whereas, The Village has $110,000 approved in the FY 21/22 Budget for the purchase of a one-ton dump truck. The total purchase price for the dump truck is $105,472.00 which is within our budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the pricing of a 2022 Ford Chassis with snow and ice equipment utilizing funds in the account 01.08.15.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a 2022 Ford F-550Chssis with snow and ice equipment in the amount of $105,472.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
