WHEREAS, Bimmer House LLC, (hereinafter referred to as “Applicant”) has requested the approval of a Special Use Permit for automobile repairs and car sales at 1426 Sherman Road; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Applicant has provided a description and summary of the business attached as Exhibit A; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Applicant’s request for a Special Use Permit for automobile repairs and car sales has met all of the procedural requirements of the Village of Romeoville, Village Board of Trustees, Planning & Zoning Commission, Development Review Committee, and the Code of Ordinances, as amended; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission held a Public Hearing on October 14, 2025; and,

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

 

Section 1:                     That the above recitals and referenced reports are hereby incorporated and made a part of this Ordinance.

 

Section 2:                     That approval of the special use permit for automobile repairs and car sales is hereby granted by the Village, which the Village President is hereby authorized to sign, and the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to attest thereto, that the said Special Use Permit for automobile repair and car sales has met all of the requirements as herewith attached and is authorized to proceed at the site legally described as follows:

                     LOT 3 (EXCEPT THE EAST 15 FEET THEREOF) IN BLUFF TRAILS SUBDIVISION PHASE I, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 10, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED MARCH 28, 1988 AS DOCUMENT R88-12087, IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

 

Section 3:                     That the approval of the special use permit set forth in this Ordinance shall be specific and personal to the Applicant as the owner and occupant of the above described site, and shall not run with the above described property or in any way be transferable to or for the benefit of any grantee, lessee, assignee or successor of the Applicant, and provided, further, that the approval of the special use permit set forth in this Ordinance shall terminate without the requirement of any further action by the Village in the event of any conveyance, transfer, lease, or other change in the identity of the ownership or occupancy of the above described site from the Applicant to any other entity or person.

 

 

Section 4:                      That the approval of the special use permit will allow up to three vehicles for sale on-site at any given time. On-site advertising of vehicles for sale will be strictly prohibited.

 

Section 5:                      That this Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
