A Resolution to Award the Contract for the 2026 Subdivision Resurfacing Program

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the subdivision resurfacing program are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the 2026 Subdivision Resurfacing Project was held on April 8, 2026, and bids were received from seven prequalified bidders; and,
Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as P.T. Ferro Construction Company with a bid of $2,142,645.40, the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate, and the ultimate contract value will reflect the actual quantities of work performed in the field, up to the bid amount plus 5% contingency rounded, equal to $2,250,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the 2026 Subdivision Resurfacing Program to P.T. Ferro Construction Company in the amount of $2,142,645.40, and the ultimate contract value will be determined by the actual quantities of work performed in the field, up to the amount of $2,250,000.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
