A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposals from Metropolitan Industries for Lift Station Control Upgrades and Emergency Generator Additions at Multiple Lift Stations

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, proposals were received from Metropolitan Industries for backup generator additions at two lift stations and control upgrades at three lift stations,
Whereas, the generator additions and control upgrades were budgeted for during the current fiscal year; and,
Whereas, the proposal’s total of $484,552.00 is within the approved budget funds in account 60.08.24.408.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville waives the bid requirements and accepts the proposals from Metropolitan Industries for the backup generator additions and control upgrades at multiple lift stations in the amount of $484,552.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
