A Resolution to Approve an Agreement from Enterprises Engineering Inc. to Provide Engineering Services Related to the Water Audit, LMO2, and Non-Revenue Water Reduction
body Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the engineering services for the water audit, LMO2, and non-revenue water reduction consultation project will be expensed in account number 64.08.22; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding the Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service agreement from Strand Engineering for the engineering services related to the water audit, LMO2, and non-revenue water reduction consultation project. EEI is a nearby vendor that specializes in municipal services and played in key role in assisting the Village with its water audit and non-revenue water reduction plan during the Lake Michigan Water allocation process. EEI has been porting the audit annually and assisted staff during the water allocation process with the IDNR. The Village is required to submit a water audit annually (permanent requirement) along with a NRW reduction plan until dropping below the NRW threshold of 10%. Engineering Enterprises reviewed our water audit and created the current NRW (2025) for an estimated amount of $22,700.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
