A Resolution to Approve a Task Order from Strand Engineering to Provide Engineering Construction Services for the 1-Million Gallon Taylor Road Water Tower Rehabilitation

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the construction services on the 1-million-gallon Taylor Road water tower painting project will be expensed in fiscal year 25/26, account number 60.08.22.401; and,
Whereas, Strand Engineering will provide construction engineering on the Taylor Tower Rehabilitation: and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding the Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service task order from Strand Engineering for the construction engineering services related to the Taylor Road Water Tower Rehabilitation. The scope of services includes attendance at a combined preconstruction and pre-painting conference, review of shop drawings and pay requests and multiple site visits throughout the project to evaluate steel repairs, interior and exterior coating applications, surface preparations and logo placement. Strand would provide these services under task order #25-01 with an estimated fee of $38,000 that will be billed on an hourly basis
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
