A Resolution Accepting the Lowest Proposal and Enter into a Contract with Abbey Construction for the Village Hall Parking Lot Expansion Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the Village Hall parking lot expansion project was held on February 26, 2025 and bids were received from six prequalified bidders; and,
Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as Abbey Constrution with a base bid of $956,479.87, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the 2024 Village Hall parking lot expansion project to Abbey Construction in the amount of $956,479.87. Abbey Construction is awarded the bid for the work in the not to exceed $956,479.87, conditioned upon its execution of the Village's customary form of contract for the work.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
