A Resolution Accepting the Lowest Proposal and Enter into a Contract with Jetco, Ltd. for the 1-Million Gallon Taylor Road Water Tower Painting Project

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the 1-million-gallon Taylor Road water tower painting project will be expensed in fiscal year 25/26, account number 60.08.22.401; and,
Whereas, eight proposals were received for the Taylor Road tower painting project, and the lowest proposal was submitted by Jetco, Ltd.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable for the proposal from Jetco, Ltd. in the amount of $408,889.00 for the Taylor Road tower painting project. Representatives of Public Works reviewed the proposals and verified their completeness and accuracy. Allow for total budgeted amount not to exceed $408,889.00 based on Village Manager and attorney's approval.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same ...
