A Resolution Approving a Professional Service Task Order from Strand Engineering for Design and Bidding Services on the Taylor Road 1-Million Gallon Water Tower Rehabilitation Project

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, Strand Engineering will be providing engineering services related to the Taylor Road 1-million-gallon water tower rehabilitation project; and,
Whereas, the total project cost not to exceed $28,700 Task Order 24-04; and,
Whereas, the scope of work includes a project kickoff meeting with the Village to discuss project scope, review of existing tank inspections and drawings, preparing bidding and contract documents based off the improvements recommended in the inspections reports along with all necessary bidding related services and will be expensed in account number 60.08.22.401, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the professional service task order from Strand Engineering for the engineering assistance related to the Taylor Road 1-million-gallon water tower rehabilitation project. This project is planned for the 2026 budget year and is not planned in our current fiscal budget. We have funds available in the 60.08.22.401 account. Staff is recommending engineering and bidding of this project due to the long construction timeframes within the industry.
