A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposals from Fleet Safety Supply for the Purchase and Installation of Equipment to Upfit Three Fire Department Vehicles

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village the equipment will be provided and installed by Fleet Safety Supply as detailed in the proposal, Exhibit A; and,
Whereas, The Village will had purchased the vehicles for a total cost of $170,579 under resolution 24-3847; and,
Whereas, The Village has $54,421 available of the approved $225,000 in the FY 24/25 Budget for the purchase and installation of the proposed equipment. The purchase price of the equipment and installation is $42,285.55; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase and installation of the equipment to upfit the three fire vehicles utilizing funds in the account 05.10.01.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Reguirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793- 00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase and installation of the equipment to upfit the three fire vehicles in the amount of $42,285.55 from Fleet Safety Supply.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
